Easter Chicks with a difference!

On the same day as we saw the vast herds of wildebeest on the Serengeti Plains we also saw this family of ostriches. I was amazed at the numbers of babies in the care of this male. Apparently three females lay their eggs in a communal nest to be incubated by the male and the alpha female. This ostrich Dad certainly seems proud of his brood.
