El Puente, San Sebastian del Oeste (4)
dabeed (16)
A view across the bridge of San Sebastian del Oeste. This former silver and gold-mining town, nestled high in the Sierra Madre mountains, was once home to over 30,000 people. It now has a population of less than 1,000 consisting mostly of ranchers, loggers and coffee and agave growers. The town has retained its traditional look and if it wasn't for the power lines and automobiles you could imagine yourself in another era. There is a lookout (La Bufa) just above the town where, on a clear day, you can see Puerto Vallarta and the Pacific ocean.

Just a slight tweek on the levels, increasing the contrast, to bring out a little detail in the buildings and a little sharpening. WS's are not always to everyone's taste so I won't be offended if you say urgggh !
