One "view of lifetime" for me.
First time approaching the Grand Canyon - spectacular enough for sure - but storm in front, low sun in the back, the air loaded with electricity, peoples hair standing on end, seing a double rainbow reaching far into the abyss... will never forget this moment. Even the park rangers said that it was a very rare sight.
Location: South rim, Mather point.

!!! Please check out what Ioneroc managed to get out of it in the workshop - He is right, it is much closer to reality than the result from my KodaK Photo-CD-scan !!!

Hi Werner,
I am sure this must have been those once in a lifetime moments - having been to Grand Canyon twice I know how great it is and when you got mother nature to help you it can get even more stunning.
However, your moment seemed to be a bit dull to me so I did following things in PS:
- Cropping a bit (mostly from bottow to get rid of that extra empty space)
- Auto Contrast - your original had a strong gray overcast in it - Auto Contrast really makes a big difference
- Darkened a bit and added a tad more saturation in Variations
- Slighly changed your frame - now all sides are even
- Sharpened quite a lot with Unsharpen Mask tool
I think this is more how it looked in the real life - at least I think so. I hope you find it useful.
Cheers!
