Taken during a walk along the shores of the chain of lakes north of Potsdam, southwest of Berlin. This is the Lehnitzsee (Lehnitz lake) and to the right you can see a wood that surrounds a 3000 year old complex of ringwalls - dating from the bronze era - on top of a very big morain. Later a sort of slavic fortification was built on it. It's inhabitants abandoned it during the 13th century. The wood is part of the Königswald (King's wood), a wonderful place. I've posted two images of the complex on the ws.
More info (in German) here.

The light and the wonderful reflection textures on the ice covering the lake aswell as the composition, prompted me to take this picture. I've only cropped the basis somewhat to give more emphasis to the line of reeds at the bottom.
