I don't actually like gray weather, but the clouds in Scotland can be so beautiful. I was extremely happy there watching the clouds drawing its shades on the hills and valleys, showing the beauty bit by bit. And the purple colour of heather was just perfect.

...as you can see in John Freeman's workshop :-)

Shifted midtone and shadows colour balance slightly towards yellow.
Selected the lower half of the picture (rectangular marquee tool, 50 px feather). Used Levels to increase contrast and Hue/Saturation to boost yellow and red saturation.
Decreased saturation slightly in sky.
