The Saxon Church

I have already posted some interior and exterior pictures of this ancient church.

This one was taken through the archway visible in my previous interior photograph,
and shows the chancel and altar.

There has been a lot of restoration – the smooth whiter stones show where replacement has been made.

PS. Following John's critique, I have put my first attempt at an HDR version of three bracketed images, in the workshop

This was a fairly quick first try to produce an HDR image from three bracketed exposures, using Photomatix free software. I'm not sure I like the results any better - it came out very oversaturated with colour fringing around the window reveal edges. Doubtless with a bit of practice better results could be achieved, but I think I like the original more.
