Sunset by the Greek Ship

It is said that some years ago, a Greek cargo ship approached Kish island and it ran aground and was unable to leave. The name of the ship( which is of 7061 tons gross, 447ft,6 ins in length) was originally "Empire Trumpet",then "Naturalist","Persian Cyrus","Hamadan" and finally "Koula F" and was built in 1943 by William Hamilton & co.,Ltd, at port Glasgow , Scotland . It is a mountain of steel, behind which the sun hides and in the moon light it looks like a floating giant.
Old tales say that the absence of a lighthouse was the reason the ship ran aground. Apparently all attempts to float it again was fruitless and it failed. And now that there is nothing left of it but a huge steel structure, the tale seems to be true.

Near the ship, a rest area has been set up and refreshments are served there.

Watching the sunset by the Greek ship is one of the beautiful attractions of Kish island that almost no tourist has bypassed the chance to witness this natural phenomenon.

Crop, desaturation
Edited by:Merline Gold Star Critiquer/Gold Star Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 911 W: 93 N: 1290] (5584)

Hi Atousa, for fun I have made a desaturation in b/w and a crop so as to decenter the ship. Now I like more the color version but it is just to show the effect of a different perspective.
