Jungle lifestyle in the village is not necessary all that bad with lack of amenities and facilities. It brings nature close to your heart and happiness daily.
The Bidayuh villagers must cross several bamboo bridges daily to get to trading post or town, trekking several kilometers of jungle trails taking at least 8-9 hours return, irrespective or sunshine or rain.
The hardship they have to endure is rarely known to city folks and my earlier post of such village life is a good example.
However, for every reason, these people still prefer to live and dwell in the jungle houses and enjoy their happiness and peaceful lifestyle, despite the hardship. And they choose to remain living in style as free as can be. This stream is one of their livelihood, for source of drinking water, washing, everything to live.
