This is another view of Mt. Discovery from McMurdo. Again, the 2692 meter tall mountain is about 40 miles (~65 km) from me and this great atmospheric thickness has resulted in some haziness in the picture.

Usually the summit of this extinct volcano is covered in stormy clouds and in that respect it is a shy mountain. It seldom shows up with such a glow as it basks in the sun! For a more dynamic photo of Mt. Discovery please see my earlier post.

As i told , i just did little bit of adjustment in the contrast and levels.. But I failed to remove the grains in the photograph . So next time dont zoom too much when you are using digital zoom
