On the banks of Ganges, I met this Sadhu who was kind enough to let me take his photos.

QUESTIION FOR THE VIEWERS:
I have a photo exhibition coming up in September and I was thinking about exhibiting this photo, any recommendations with regards to how I should crop it or process it would be highly appreciated.

I am sorry about the lack of time that i have been devoting to TE lately. I am leaving on a trip to India again in something like three weeks, so the planning and logisitcs of that is keeping me busy. Once again, thanks for dropping by .... Cheers !!!

Increased Brighness

Made a bit more colorful

well well, this is one a great shot by sarju..and I have tried to highlight the sadhu here with a filter which works only 50%.First cropped from top and bottom



1) extracted Mr.Sadhu thru extract filter

2) pasted him in a new page with black bg

3) Now the extract filter diod not work well so a lot of clone stamping fro m the original and other nit bits had to be done.

4)desaturated the image by 10%

5)sharpened it twice

6)wanted a focus on the face with piercing eyes to highlighted his face

7) levels decreased

8) framed it and added a note..



Is it ok..?????

objectif get the bg less significant

i used blur (for bg) and sharp (for the face)

and get the yees on the top 1/3 horizontal

Lighten shadows - 21%

Unsharp Mask - 20% and radius 20%



I added a frame and used the burn tool to lessen the over exposure in the hair.



Unfortunatly, using the lighten shadows tool has given the image some extra noise, but its something that you can easily remove (i'm too lazy to do that!).
