Early morning at the World Peace Pagoda in Pokhara valley above Fewa lake. It is a one hour hike from the lake. I was there alone, the weather was beautiful, the sight was spectacular.

From left to right Machhapuchhre (6993m), Anapurna III (7555m), Anapurna IV (7525m), Anapurna II (7939m), Lamjung Himal (6932m). Machhapuchhre, which translates as Fishtail, looks the highest only because it is closer than the other peaks.

Sarangkot, the highest point on the "hill" (well, compared to the snowy mountains behind, I feel this is how I have to call these lower green mountains) above the lake, is now a very popular paragliding spot. It is from Sarangkot that I took the sunrise picture shown in my previous post.

Correction of oversaturation of blue
Edited by:JVS Silver Star Critiquer/Silver Workshop Editor/Gold Note Writer [C: 19 W: 34 N: 71] (425)

Hello,
I eventually decided to post my view of this spectacular landscape. What I did:
- correction of blue channel with Curves (till shadow areas lost blue "fog")
- decrease saturation for blue color (-20) with mask on sky (to prevent desaturate deep blue color of sky)
- increase sharpness on "hill" (masking background peaks)
