Another shot taken at the Kruger National Park. We were really fortunate. These three giraffe were part of a herd of about 12 all in one place - very rare as far as my experience is concerned. This was taken really early in the morning, light was not too good, and I'm starting to feel really frustrated with the small camera... Anyway, I liked the way they were looking in opposite directions. Kind of reminded me of people watching each others backs...

Tech: Cropped a little, sharpened, unsharp mask, adjusted levels and contrast - little saturation increase. Hope you like it.

Using Paintshop Pro i used the adjust the clarify tool (+3) to bring out a bit more of the giraffe's facial features. I then adjusted the highlights/midtone/shadow contrast levels (decreased shadow, increased midtone and highlight)to further bring out detail in the giraffe. Hope this helps
