India diary, photo #6.
Kibbar (Kibber) village above Spiti valley is considered to be the highest in the country (4200m).
From this village it is possible to hike to Leh, Ladakh. It'd take around a week.
Houses on the picture stay away from the viilage itself, but, I believe, they are still a part of it.
The shot was taken in the morning, around 7:30-8:00am. The shadows in gorges are very deep.
Sky is blurred to reduce pixelization of the small-resolution scan.

In Photoshop i did a few things to bring some intensity back to the color.

First i used levels:

Settings: 42/.91/245

Then i felt that it washed everything out on the yellow side of the spectrum, so i tried to tone that down to more of what i imagine it actually looked like.

Color Balance:
Shadows/Midtones/Highlights: +8/11/6 on blue, i left the rest as they were.

i then added a little bit more contrast:
Brightness: -3
Contrast: +6

Finally, i kicked up the saturation just a little bit:
Hue/Saturation: Saturation: +7

Thanks--have a great day!
