The National Slavery Museum is found on the connection road from Luanda to Kwanza stream, it's head office is situated inside the chapel dated the XVII century, denominated "Big House Chapel" found on the "Morro da Cruz" (Cross's Mount) a suburb outside the city of Luanda.
The Slavery Museum of Angola is one of the most highlighted institutions of Angola and it has been used to inform the essence of the slavery history in Angola.
The "Big House Chapel" where the Museum is located has a great historic representation because it was the place where the slaves were baptized before they were sent away on the ships taken away from their families to completely strange and far away countries where there they were then condemned to work well beyond human conditions.
The place is open Monday-Friday from 09H00am - 16H00pm.
Thank you in advance,
