I couldn't figure out how to upload a picture in a reply so I had to start a new one. Is this more of what you meant about composition? As you can see when I crop the picture it gets a pretty good blur. Is there anything that I can do in PS that can clear up this problem?

using gimp I just regulated the contrast and fixed the color curves a bit for the RGB. I hope you will like it.
