Thanks to William Blake (1757-1827) for the title; it’s the last line of the hymn “Jerusalem”.
We were on a 6˝ mile walk from Sutton Bank in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and this is the view we had while we ate our picnic lunch. I remarked to my husband at the time “This is England at her best”.
If you look in the WS I will point out where we were sitting. After lunch we began our ascent through the woods to the top of the escarpment again. It was a longer path than the descent but not as steep.
Please look in the theme (left) for more information and other shots taken at Sutton Bank.
