Thanks to William Blake (1757-1827) for the title; it’s the last line of the hymn “Jerusalem”.
We were on a 6½ mile walk from Sutton Bank in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and this is the view we had while we ate our picnic lunch. I remarked to my husband at the time “This is England at her best”.
If you look in the WS I will point out where we were sitting. After lunch we began our ascent through the woods to the top of the escarpment again. It was a longer path than the descent but not as steep.

The farmhouse you see is called Greendale. We walked past the farm and had our lunch just in front of the woodland. The view in the main post is to the left of the farmhouse. F10 1/80
