It was a cold and drizzley day. Just as its supposed to be in February in Snowdonia. Perhaps that added to the bleakness of this place but even on a sunny day in May I still cannot imagine it being cheery. Nor can I imagine buying a one of those houses at the foot of the biggest pile of slate in Wales.

I have just done some basic tweaking to sharpen the image and bring out a bit more detail and colour. All work done in PaintShop Pro 8.
Increased Brightness by 10 and Contrast by 20. Increase Saturation by 20. Applied the Unsharp Mask with settings of Radius 1.00, Strength of 100 and Clipping of 0.

2. Unsharp mask 100%
