Some of them live in small islands in the Ao Phang Nga National Marine Park. The most impressing thing is that some of these islands are just a vertical rock rising from the sea, upon which are "attached" small stilt villages like the one where this photo was taken, Ko Panyi (population: 2000, very close to the famous James Bond Island). It's a very rare thing to see in Thailand, women with covered head walking in small alleys above the water. I even saw there fishes "walking" on sand, at the hour of ebb (please, believe me!).
While I was walking through the narrow alleys of the village, i saw this beautiful girl standing at the door. At first i wanted to take a close portrait of her, but then i noticed some more details like the man lying on the floor watching TV and the women in the other room cooking. I hope that there's not much "useless" staff in the picture. |
