A slighty grainy scan from the village that had the South African church mission hospital I was working in three years ago.

Not the kind of scenery I was led to believe I would encounter in sub-Saharan Africa! Nkhoma is a moderate sized village an hour away into the hills, halfway down the main M1 road between the capital Lilongwe and the pottery town of Dedza. An unbelievable site for what amounts to a hospital that by Malawian standards is pretty impressive, but people come from literally
a 50 mile+ radius for treatment. Very peaceful, tranquil...yet simple diseases kill for want of simple treatment.

The greenery stretched away for miles and miles, and with the location of Nkhoma; the hills in the very distance would be right upon the edge of Lake Malawi. Such flowers and birdlife too, unlike anything you'd see in any other continent.

As I say this is a grainy image and Photoshop is beyond me...any nice person able to sharpen this better than I can, would be most grateful..!

Sharpened the image a bit and blurred out the grainiess in the sky. Also increased saturuation 5% and darkened the mountain in the back
I hope someone else can do better
I it as grea shot
