Chittia Kondh is a subdivision of the Kondh tribe, one of the most important tribes not only in Orissa but in India. The name Chitia means Tatoo, and they were famous during the British Raj for their human sacrifices called "meriah", actually they use buffalos and goats for the sacrifices and do not seem to be so feroucious as they use to be. They live in the southern part of Orissa in small hamlets lost in the mountains.

This is the first workshop I have ever done... and it was mostly for fun... I just played with the contrast to see if it would make the colors clearer... I also cropped and added a white border, just to see what it would look like.
