The river in the background is Okavango, more famous of it's delta and wildlife in Botswana. At this section the river forms the border with Namibia and Angola.
Angola, for long suffering of civil war and nearest official border crossing at least 100 km away, was so close but strictly off-limits to us.
Scanned slide. I chose to go B&W because the scene looks timeless, I think. Desaturated using mainly red channel on channel mixer to get better contrast with background. Colour version in the workshop. |
