Back to Ywa Thit, the Palaung village which is about 3 hours walking from Kalaw.
Original version in WS.

In some Palaung villages, all families still live together in traditional long houses. In these long houses, each family has its own hearth for cooking and separate sleeping compartments for the parents.
Palaung mainly live in the mountains where they practice slash-and-burn agriculture. They are mostly Buddhist.
Many Palaung people escape persecution and oppression of Myanmar's military government and go to Thailand living in refugee camps
