Today's stroll in Poole I came upon a very cooperative subject (is it a gull or tern I am unsure as to which) he or she just stay on this life belt post for about 10 minutes what I like about this shot is the red colour that has been reflected to the underside of the body, from the plastic belt cover, shame I missed the tip to the tale but enjoyed this bird cooperation with photography

Hi Roland - this is (as far as I can tell) a Black-headed Gull (Larus ridibundus) in eclipse plumage - ie. without the lovely velvet-back head colouring seen in spring-summer. Nice shot - my workshop just involved a crop - resharpen - and another run through Neat Image using one of my Nikon CoolPix 4500 profiles. :-)
