This is my next one in this short series at Heceta Head Lighthouse. In my previous post you could see this from the hills in the distance. You may notice the flag being at half-staff. That would be because when I was there, in early September US Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist had just passed away. He served 7 presidents starting with Nixon.

I am going to upload a workshop to show Heceta Head in detail. Just down the coast there is a sea lion cave and I had cranked my ISO up to 1250 when I was underground. But then I forgot to go back to normal so I had my ISO way too high. Fortunately I didn't underexpose this too much so it didn't become too much of an issue. I wish my camera told me what ISO I was set at in my viewfinder like the new Nikon D200 does.

Hand-held shot: ISO 1250 and 1/1250th second shutter speed. I hate when I do that.

I figured I would try a simple shot just to show it close-up. The Heceta Head lighthouse has been posted several times already so there's no need for me to do anything else.
