I've also posted a workshop with a view from a the other side of the church. I liked the contrasting colors better on the original.
Located on the grounds of the Hjemkomst Center is the Stave Church, a symbol of the Norwegian heritage in the Red River Valley. Built by Guy Paulson, the church is a full-scale replica of the Hopperstad Church in Vik, Norway
The Hjemkomst Viking Ship, permanently housed in the center; was built by Robert Asp and his family and sailed to Norway in 1984. Several traveling exhibits are also held at Heritage Hall, a 7,000 sq./ft. hall and have included a NASA, Dinosaur and Juried Folk Art exhibits. |
