Near Gothard tunnel is Quinto, famous for the hockey team Ambrì-Piotta and for the cable railway of Ritom-Piora.
In this time of year the small villages above Quinto, as Altanca, Lurengo and so are caught up in wonderful colours, with the high mountains of Gothard on the background.
Light in autumn is special too, warm even at noon.
