Yesterday was 12th October. It was the National Day of Spain. Columbus discovered America on a day like this of the year 1'492. In Madrid the Day was celebrated with a militar parade and the armies of the countries of Latin America were invited to participate.
In Zaragoza it was also holiday. Not only the National Day but the local holiday. It was celebrated also with a flower offer parade.
While in Madrid the participants carried weapons, in Zaragoza they brought flowers the Lady of the Pillar. While there they were marching in militar clothes, here they were walking, dancing and singing in traditional costumes.
At the end of the day thousands of flowers were placed at the feet of the Lady which image stood on the top of a big pyramid of flowers. See the WS.
