So i was comed from Cortina d'Ampezzo to Dobbiaco, Brunico, Bressanone and to Brennero pass and, always on the incredible curve-full (!!) Austrian main-road, to Innsbruck.
From Innsbruck the choice was to cross the Fernpass in the direction of Kemten (in Germany) and after that Lindau and the Bodensee (Lake Constance).
The road is extremely quiet, on the antique Via Claudia Augusta Roman path. At almost 1000m. of altitude, nearby the 'sunny side' of the Fernpass area, in the village of Nassereith embedded in the Gurgltal valley, suddenly i have seen the Fernstein castle: time to stop the car because the view, with the warm (and unfortunately poor!) light at the evening, vas simply 'bucolic'!.
I know it, is today an hotel with sauna and the likes, but with a little bit of fantasy it's not too difficult to imagine hourses, riders and... where are the princesses ??! ;-))
Under the castle, not visible in this shot, is an old-style village, a camping and, nearby, a little lake.
Without a tripode, i have tried a shot vith self-timer of two seconds and the help of the fence at the border of the road.
If you will travel from Italy to Germany, is a beautiful choice to avoid the highways, believe me!
