The center of Mikulov with its oblong sloping square ranks among the most charming of historical Moravian town centers.

Square is situated just below the castle and its fortification system. On the left You can see the entrance to the castle's gardens.

In the center the fountain with the statue of Pomona is visible. It has graced the square since 1680. Its figural structure allegorically symbolizes a female figure with a shield carrying the Dietrichstein symbol of two vintner's knives and a horn of plenty.

It was taken in the morning, but the sun was already harsh. All i did in PP here was:
-unsharp edges
-adjust contrast

I wanted to see if another format could improve the picture.

So I cropped off the top of the sky. I think that the wonderful blue sky must be kept, but occupied too much space. This leads to a unusual format, but why not ?

I used a contrast mask (duplicate the layer, desaturate, invert and set the overlay blend mode) with opacity 100%. This lightens the beautiful fountain in the foreground.

I used Unsharp Mask with radius 20% and amount 0.25. I think that it improves the local contrast and make the picture pop out.
