Same idea, different pov.

As some of You, my dear Friends, predicted that this man soon will be flying, I must disappoint You...
This part of the day was really windless.
So, the title may be illusive...

But what about patience? I was wondering how patient this sportsman or "daredevil" must have been, as i spent about five hours there, on the top of Zar Mount and he was still holding his position just waiting for the wind. Amazing...

Below the Zar Mount You can see a big part of Miedzybrodzkie Lake and Miedzybrodzie Bielskie village. Situated in the vicinity of two very interesting towns: Zywiec and Bielsko-Biala.

Mat here is the technique I used:



1 - I made a selection of the lower portion of the image. Begining just beyond the village in the foreground and across the image keeping the house and sunlit areas in the selection.

2 - Add a feather of about 25 px

3 - add a curves layer and anchored the midtone and adjusted the quarter tones slightly.

4 - Reselect the selection and inverse

5 - another curves adjustment layer and modified the brightness down a bit and added some contrast to the quarter tones

6 - Duplicate the background layer and change blend mode to Multiply and add a mask.

7 - With mask active add a foregound-background gradient from the top to about the middle of the image. I then changed opacity of the gradient downwards to about 90%



Hope you like the results. It is still a good image with great vision or your part.
