(281) Rotate, Shadows, Contrast, USM Edited by:cgrindahl

I rotated after using the Measuring Tool on the horizon. Working in Photoshop CS, I applied Shadows and Highlights to bring a bit more detail out of the foreground and a bit less in the sky. Next I increased Contrast and Brightness to bring out some of the elements in the sky. I increased saturation a touch for the same reason. Next I selected the sky and put it on a separate layer so I could use Dust and Scratches to reduce slightly the noise there. Finally, I applied a sharpening routine called Smart Sharpen on the background layer before merging layers, resizing to fit TE requirements and uploaded. I didn't crop because I wanted to give you a sense Andrew of how much rotation existed. While there is nothing wrong with having strange angles and line in photos, when it comes to landscape shots, you will wish to keep them clean. Strange lines in landscapes tend to disturb the eye.
