Mount Napulauan Summit (8)

(908)
The sun was just rising on the left side when I took this photo. The sky was clear for about 20 minutes. Mount Napulauan is located at Ifugao province Philippines, you get there by riding a bus to Banawe Rice Terraces then there is another 1.5 hour ride to Hungduan. It is one of the more difficult mountains to climb here. You will climb this on all fours for about 6 hours of the 10 hour climb. You go down the same way. General Yamashita knows this. It is here that he hid from the Americans during the final days of World War II

Here re the things I did:
1. Opened levels control and checked the curve chart. Adjusted it to get more highlihts and contrast.
2. Increased saturation to the point the colors will not "break".
3. Adjusted color balance to increase the colored rays of the sun that hits the clouds and the foreground mountains.
4. isolated the sky area and adjusted it with levels control, to deepen the sky.
5. Sharpened it by USM.
This is a very nice picture. very seldom do you see a view like this in the Philippines.

Hello Benedict,
here I am with this great image:
I tried to work on the sharpness of the foreground, the background and the sky.
Also some adjustements with curves (PS)
Hope you like it,
Davide.
