We were lucky that the sun brake through, so we could have a bath (cold!), make a fire and have dinner without any problem. The clouds were being chased by a strong wind, we understood why there were so many windmills on the island !! Wind at night means no clouds the following day, and so I could check around 4.00 am for this sunrise ! Unfortunately I would have prefered some clouds for my picture....
I was wakened by the birds.
There are so many birds that the eastern coast of the island is declared as natural reserve. The road is 5 to 7 km to the inside, and just some small paths were going to the water and some small houses. Öland is an interesting destination for obvserving birds. Even without the appropriate material, I saw and heard that many different kind of birds that morning. I tried to cath some of them, and here we see one on the right heading for breakfast :o)
As a WS I post a different view. I hesitated between both... Don't hesitate to tell me what you like/dislike on them ! The colours are a bit different, but that's just because it was a few minutes later, and with another focal range. In both, no PP except cropping, slight decrease of brightness and increase of contrast, as usual.
