Lighten/Darken, Remove Noise

Image rendered too dark on internet. A lot of digital noise in the image.
Checked levels clipping display in Levels adjustment layer. Removed some noise by clipping levels 0,1,2 and 255, and adjusting output to 2..254.
Made two duplicate backgrounds, 1 set to Screen blend, 1 set to multiply blend. Faded screen layer to only affect levels 0-207; faded multiply layer to only affect levels 208-255.
Flattened.
Made another duplicate background. Selected each color channel in turn, and ran neat image on each, adjusted to the noise levels present.
Flattened.
Ran blur tool over parts of the sky that had structural noise elements (not digital noise).
Made duplicate background, set to Soft Light blend mode and ran High Pass filter set to 2 pixels, 50% opacity, then masked-out the sea and the sky but not the horizon or the pier...to selectivel sharpen.
