Most of the Mediterranean coast of Israel is covered with sandy beaches; it is possible to swim almost all year, there are times that I don't suggest swimming though; especially before the jellyfishes appear, there must be period that I guess there are jellyfish eggs in the sea and they cause an irresistable itch.
In Israel because of the limited sources even a smallest, nice, natural place (river shores, sea sides...) is protected and converted into a national park, this means Israeli people treasure those places.
HaBonim Beach is one of those places, it is very near to Atlit. In the high season you pay a fee for entrance at the time I took this picture it was free. only some photography freaks had thought to go to the seaside at that cold weather :)
