Workshop Note
Hi Peter,
I love your photo and I consider it a great starting point
I`m sorry if you think this is too much, but I`m a color lover. I mean, it was close to sunset and I imagine an explosion of colors on the sky…
Technically, the white balance was just a little off, on the warm side and that is not such a big deal, but I still wanted to fix that a bit, especially for the lightest parts of the image.
I did it with a set of curves in RGB color mode, on a separate adjustment layer, masked by a luminance mask. I set the blending mode for the curves to “color”.
Then I created another set of curves, to boost the contrast a bit and I set it to “Luminosity” blending mode, so that it would not affect the color.
I went to Lab color mode and I applied the image to itself in “Overlay” mode, again masked by a luminosity mask so that I won’t have the shadows plugged too much.
What do you think Peter? Is it better or is it worse?:)
Thanks,
Nelu
