Calm waters, but what waits underneath that silky surface? Being here, despite the cold, I felt several times as I were melting together with the stillness and nature the urge of sliding into the water. We have a fairytale about a creature living inside water called "Noekken". It's a creature that cast a spell in evenings/nights like this and draws them into the water as they sense not what is going on. I guess the creature in the water outside the mines of Moria (The lord of the rings movie - The fellowship of the ring) describes pretty well what it is, except the octopuss-arms and the action! "Our" creature is more of a gigantic "Troll" full of grass and branches with evil eyes that spellbind you.
You could never really tell... Was I actually spellbound for a short while by a fading power in the water?

Anyway it goes straight inside my theme "Trolls"...

yup i know that too much contrast hehe

but there is something dark under the surface of the water. and the fog engulfing everything in the horizon is adding to the mytery

I thought about a little different vision of this image. I was going to crop the bottom a little, but decided to keep the area and just for the black gradation up a little, I did this using levels is PS, and the brightened the lighter area just a little. Then I created a duotone image using the colorize option in PS, and chose a very cold blue tone.

Increased contrast just a few points, and decreased overall brightness. Then framed it.
