A little further down the hill, just before we headed into the depths of the mined area, I rolled down the window and caught this snapshot...

As You can see, there is water at the bottom. This is because they are excavating around a river that starts a little further uphill. My friends told me that they had visited this area decades ago, with their families and apparently it used to be a pristine sight. Now... it has changed a little bit...

Please bare in mind that this is just the beginning of the minefield. It only gets more impressive (not to say worse), from here on as You head down the canyonish valley.
