Photographer’s Note
An old grape tree on the edge of a field in Cappadocia, at sunset : it is still trimmed by the farmers, in a few weeks the young leaves will appear ("explode", they say in Turkish).
Because of the altitude (around 1000m), spring comes a little late in Cappadocia ; farmers are keeping "3 eyes" - or 3 knots on each branch, to give more force to the tree and to prevent it spreading into a long vine.

I like what I see. It look like an uprooted tree. The shape and forms it creates are very nice and mysterious. Good capture under somewhat good light. The sky seem overexposed but the rest of the compo is very nice. Thanks Catherine.

Hi Cath,
this is a wonderful photo, taken at nice evening light. The color and the shape of the tree match very well with the sky and its color. Interesting what you tell us about how the local farmers take care about their grape trees. Well done!

Salut Catherine,

Amicalement.
Daniel.
