On the Poets' Gulf, again Photo

Photographer’s Note

Tellaro is a small village on the southern side of the Poets’ Gulf.
The village was settled by Etruscans many centuries b.C. and it’s 4 km from the most famous Lerici; it’s the last one village of the Ligurian coast before many miles of uncontaminated beach (called in the Ligurian Dialect “spiaggioni”) and wonderful forests. There aren’t steets that linked the village with that areas, only tracks or by boat.
Tellaro is rarely crowded of tourist as the close Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Lerici; on its left-hand side, it is linked to the Montemarcello-Magra Regional Park headland plummeting down to the uncontaminated coast and sea. Opposite Tellaro, on the other side of the Gulf, lies the Portovenere headland with its islands Palmaria and Tino.
The picture was took from more than 2 chilometers from the nearby village of Fiascherino.
The Church is the very old San Giorgio. In the middle of the image is possible to see the Isola d’Elba (more than 110 km) and the Northern Tuscany coastline

Gorgeous! What a warm photo...I like the village in the middle, but also the single house on the left side. It seems you were here at the perfect time, as the light is just right (and doubt it was as nice 10 minutes before or after).

This is great Paolo. I like the warm light on the buildings of the village; it really brings out their colours and they look great set against the pink sky.
The composition is good too, and the inclusion of the foreground rocks works well to give the image a sense of depth.

The light in this shot is stunning and I love tghe composition. We see good foreground interest and this leads our eye across to the beautifully lit houses.

this light is fantastic. You know when to go taking photos, and with such shots thats crucial. As a rsult of the light the town positively glows with warmth. I would maybe crop some of the sky at the top, I think it tends to dominate a bit too much for my tastes.

Beautiful atmosphere in this one, Paolo. The sunlight brings out a warming color pallette in all areas of the photo, in the charming seaside architecture as well as in the foreground rocks. Beautiful shooting angle to present the scenic value of the place at its most favorable.

Hi Paolo,
An alluring spot, remote and away from the tourists. The overall ambience here is one of quietude and charm, with the orange roofs blending well with sea and sky. I might have cropped a slice of the foreground rocks, but that is personal preference. The POV is well chosen and clarity of detail impressive. Well captured.
