Photographer’s Note

We spent our w.e. in Liguria, with friends and children.
Liguria have one of the most beautiful weather of the Mediterranean Sea. Not too hot summer, low humidity and not more than one month of cold winter; all the rest of the year is a long long spring.
Yesterday in Camogli there were some people swimmin' in the sea, crowded beach, sun, blue sky and 25°.
At 5.30 p.m. we came back to Milan, and after 80 minutes we were at home, in a foggy day with a typical grey sky, high humidity and a little bit of rain. And it was cold.
All that just to be born on the wrong side of the Appennini Mounts...

On the image there is a partial view of the Santa Maria Assunta church.

Molto bella la composizione Paolo, con la divisione a metà degli spazi ed il contrasto di colori, le silouette delle persone con dietro l'onda che si infrange è il tocco in più, complimenti!!

obviously colours are stunning but i like how you composed this image clearly presenting the size of the building in comparision to the tiny figures on the ground;

A lovely composition in good light my friend, you did verry well on this one. I love the light on the tower, but also the people in front of the ocean where just the waves breaking...perfect..!!!

So why did you paint in black last friday with this apocalyptical weather forecast, I see all turned out well, glad you had a good WE at sea. Nice seaside view that has been challenging the wide end of your ixus I see, I like the small splashing wave that adds a small touch of dynamism. You might want to fix a bit the vertical on the right.

Hi Paolo,
Very good..but I would have prefer to see this photograph in a landscape layout and not in a portrait layout..Cutting all the top part would be enough for me as the major interest is the big wave and the persons on the bottom line, see what I mean Paolo?

The reflection of the sun, on the upper window of the tower got my attention...but the wave and the great color of the sky made me watch it...Great composition, great colors, great picture!

The POV is impressive and the light was impressive. The only pity is the overexposition in the clock.

The people shows us a perfect scale.

Splendida composizione, Paolo!!
Mi piace la chiesa enorme e la gente piccola piccola, e soprattutto mi piace moltissimo l'onda che si alza ed ha davanti un omino che passa proprio là!

Per me è tanto lontana la Liguria, ci sono stata un'estate in un bellissimo agriturismo a Dolceacqua vicino al confine, e mi ricordo ancora di quei posti bellissimi e il buon vino

Ciao Paolo. Very nice timing for this one; the crashing waves beside the visitors make for a vivid element in this pleasant and well-saturated composition by the sea. The people not only bring a casual and lively aspect to the photo, but they are also good to illustrate the height of the village church. Beautiful shot.

What a superb place this looks like. Add spring
almost all year. Wow, this would be my kind of place. The color of the sky is superb in this shot and I really enjoy the splashing wave in the bottom of the frame.

I like tower incline.It works very natural.
Interesting ground zero cut.It looks almost that people walking on frame edge.Good job.I like somethimes to brake photograohy rules too.

A beautiful photo, the action of the waves nicely caught and the blue sky in perfect harmony with the pastel coloured building. People also make a nice appearance, enjoying the beautiful sun. You have portrayed the atmosphere perfectly.
