You certainly all know jhm and his nice pictures of Flanders.
Yesterday I went in Gent by train (you have to walk about 30 minutes to the centre, that's better in Brugge

Here, when entering in the old centre, this picture came first in mind, that's the magic of TE :o)

I love your picture very much, it seems like an old painting picture. Sky, Old Buildings, Rives, and Colors all are perfect.

je vois que le ciel est gris en belgique,un endroit trés beau de Gent ou effectivement JHM a posté des images, beau cadrage vu eu pont avec ce ciel chargé, beaucoup de relief dans cette photo qui aurai pu etre en N&B

Rebonjour,

Bonne utilisation du grand angle et de la «couture» de 4 photos qui nous permet d’avoir un aperçu grandiose sur Gent et le parcours du canal. Le ciel menaçant apporte une bonne dose d’atmosphère qui convient bien à l’architecture. Malgré l’omniprésence des nuages, la lumière offre de bons contrastes entre les ombres et lumière.

The effect with the weather is interesting. You seems to have waiting for the ray of light, isn't it? ;-).
I would frame just a little bit higher, to see better the "tower", and to remove a little bit the foreground (1cm higher on this picture).

Hi Didier,

Very well composed shot. The curve of river (channel?) enhance the big depth at left. The light is subtle and soft, and give a relaxing ambiance. Very well sharpened too. Very beautiful shot. Thanks.

I'm very glad with your visit to Ghent, your took at once a picture of middle of the city, a pity of the weather Didier, why four picture for this one? Yes I like absolutely of this city,a lot old buildings lovely old architecture, it's a very lovely picture Didier.

Fine work on this one, Didier. Yes, the angle is familiar and technically this is the much better photo even though it may not accumulate half the score of John's. Good idea with the 4-time vertical stitch to widen the angle and fit everything in that needs to be seen. The canal and bridge make a good V-shape in the middle of which the ornate ensemble of old buildings is presented, and the overcast sky results in an atmospheric light and still good color contrasts.

this is something I can't believe. such a fine shot, great lines, good composition, very good point of view and a fantastic quality, well it's strange only 17 point for this good photo. good job anyway.

Heureusement tes compos sont toujours soignées...et ici tu nous proposes une mini didiade de tout premier ordre...
sur la vignette on dirait une prise au grand angle..mais la grande est bien mieux..

Bonjour Didier,
Excellent cadrage, l'endroit choisi à l'angle du canal et du pont est des plus judicieux, c'est vraiment très beau, mais il faut dire que cette architecture est magnifique, bien mise en valeur par le stitch.
Un bel éclairage malgré ce ciel nuageux.

Ah que je suis fan de ces panos faits à partir d'un nombre assez faible de photos prises en mode portrait... Je trouves que l'effet grand angle est vraiment interessant. Quel logiciel as tu utilisé ?
