Slottsbacken (Swedish: "Palace Slope") is a street in Gamla stan, the old town in central Stockholm.
It stretches east from the Stockholm Cathedral and the Royal Palace down to the street Skeppsbron which passes along the eastern waterfront of the old town. In the western end, the alley Källargränd leads south to the square Stortorget, while Storkyrkobrinken extends Slottsbacken west beyond the cathedral and Högvaktsterrassen, down to the square Riddarhustorget. On the southern side of Slottsbacken, three alleys connect to the interior throng of the old town: On either side of the Tessin Palace are Finska Kyrkogränd and Bollhusgränd, while Österlånggatan begins in the low-lying eastern part of the slope...

Only 5 years old but has the taste of an "oldie" !
Simple but graphical effect captured in Stockholm under snow.
TFS and best regards

I like your choice of black and white for this shot. Good composition, with the shorter buildings framing the tower in the middle. I also like your frame choice.
Thanks for sharing!

la resa dell'immagine, così evanescente ed impalpabile, ha creato un'effetto di grande eleganza in questo caso, perfetta la collocazione della chiesa nel contesto dell'immagine. Complimenti, un caro saluto.

Beautiful B&W architectural composition, very nice POV and crop.

I see you took this 4 years ago, the slight grain to the image works well and contributes to giving the image a sense of timelessness, as does the sepia treatment. I like the effect of the mist/snow. It is a very atmospheric photo.
TFS and have a happy week

this a little melancholic feeling in the gray winter scene is nice,
especially that white blurred tower looks rather illusionary in this winter perspective,
other old buildings are also fantastic too,
thank you for your excellent shot,

o poza foarte eleganta, care se dezvolta frumos din stanga spre dreapta. Alb negru si ajuta la impresia din frig.
O zi buna, Johannes

you've definitely caught a mood here, the B&W and the fading buildings under the snow...interesting...

I like your picture very much. The B&W goes very well with such a cold atmosphere. Good frame too.
