I discovered these small White Villages in Andalusia at a very specific moment : at the beginning of the afternoon.
It was really striking : hot sun, no one in the narrow streets. This “siesta” moment was something real !
I spent almost 20 minutes walking around and didn’t see anyone but small cats running from one house to another. I had several opportunities to pass in front of this place with its fountain and found it interesting because there were really few perspective large enough in this village to shoot at a whole building. I know the light may be too harsh and not really with the right direction but it is quite a symbole for me of these “Pueblos Blancos”.

Nice little courtyard, it's a shame it's so empty (no dogs on siesta, etc)! Certainly a good representation of a typical Pueblo Blanco. The walls facing the sun are a bit overblown, and I would have liked to have seen the top of the tower on the left.
Where is this? I spent some time recently in Zahara de la Sierra, about 1h south of Sevilla. Beautiful place - the village was set into the mountain, creating a labiryth of rooves, something you give a hint of on the left.

That's the trouble with the sun so high in the sky, and sometimes it's just not possible to wait for a later hour, it's a lovely picture nonetheless, and the sky is a beautiful blue.

Grande foto! Acho fantástico o "jogo" entre a luz(maravilhosa) e as sombras. Muito obrigado pelos comentários.

Bel effet de lumičre rasante sur les murs.
Trčs bonne maitrise de l'exposition ainsi que la composition.
Ya t'il une possibilité d'éliminer ces antennes TV ?

Nice photo Steven, you are right and Siesta time is still a reality in rural areas, but not in the main cities like Barcelona or Madrid. Nevertheless doctors said is a very good habit so we should export it wideworld... About the photo, I love it, the clouds, the blue sky, the fontain, the compo show the place in it beauty and the sharpness is great, congratulations... Very well seen.
