Photographer's Note
Taken at Badaling, on a hot summer's day of 36c, in early June. The cyan umbrella is being used as a sunshade. From Wikipedia:
"Badaling (simplified Chinese: 八达岭; traditional Chinese: 八達嶺; pinyin: Bādálǐng) is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles northwest of Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance.
The portion of the wall at Badaling has undergone heavy restoration, and in 1957 it was the first section of the wall to open to tourists. Now visited annually by millions, the immediate area has seen significant development, including hotels, restaurants, and a cable car. The recently completed Badaling Expressway connects Badaling with Beijing city."

Hi Chris,
Impressive view with a good quality. Although it is classically composed, it never stops amazing me.
For me, the decision to place the cyan umbrella in the foreground was a wise one but due to the harsh light on it or the bright colour it becomes a bit distracting.
Regards,
Maria

Hi Chris,
excellent composition, the wall leading the eye through the whole image. Great depth and very nice colours, it was a good idea to include the umbrella as a nice contrast to the green trees and bushes.
Congratulation!

Hi Chris,
The point of view on the Wall of China is really impressing here. I like much qualities of the image in particular on the level of the light which gives much clearness to the image. The woman who goes up seems to pain in her effort and apparently the weather is hot… The umbrella brings a beautiful key of color. Pretty and interesting glance. Thank you Chris.
With all my friendships and very good Sunday,

Bonjour Chris,
une vue avec beaucoup de relief et d'altitude, qui montre qu'il faut une certaine santé pour parcourir cette muraille.
Une muraille d'ailleurs très touristique.

Hello Chris,
nice snapshot with the tourists to 'climb' to the corridors of the Great Wall. Its a difficult climb especially of the right side of it.As i see the region is in green this month of the year, against mine visit with the temperature to be at 6c.Well done.
Have a nice week,Danos

Namaste Chris
You've shown us the Great Wall from quite a few locations now...Do we see the wall bifurcating somewhere in the middle of the frame, with one branch spanning from left to right & the other going straight? The perspective is great & so is the contrast with the surrounding greens

Hi Chris!
This is what I call tourists, they seem to be everywhere:)!!! Reaching the wall with the heat must not be very easy. The pov is very good to show the wall and the mountains around. The sunshade makes a good contrast.
