Photographer’s Note
Chinese people praying at the Tibetan Lama Temple in Beijing, also called 'Yonghe Gong'. There was not much I could do, about the air pollution in the sky. But authorities are trying to clean up, in time for the Summer Olympics, by restricted vehicular traffic.

Olá Chris, I remember well that constant grey sky when I was there. Nice capture of the devoters praying in front of the interesting temple. The smoke add atmosphere and your POV is well chosen.

Hello Chris,
A very good daily life shot complemented by some very interesting architecture. Good point of view; I like the juxtaposition between temple and tree and devotees. Very good colours and clarity.

Hi Chris
For a westerner, China has one of the most diverse cultures and landscapes, and this is one of the diversities that you find.
I like your pov and composition, and you have captured worshipers in action. Good job. TFs

Good details from this temple chris where just the inclusion of the people around makes for interest and 'life' in the compo.

Hi Chris,
I have nothing with religion, it brings to many problems all around the world, but i am always very interested how people in Asia handle their daily with this. A nice picture which shows the dedication of people. What is that small bench in front, to put your knees on?
A very nice one...

I these shots where you have people in the scene, showing us the way the buildings, temples and squares are used by the residents. This makes the landscape come alive and gives us the culture of a place, not just the beautiful buildings. Nice work!

Hi Chris!
Another beautiful scene from Far East, perfectly composed and with this diagonal perspective that adds dynamism. The temple in the background is very impressive. Excellent light managment, beautiful colours! Congratulations!

Hello Chris,
This is place I visited last year ( 2006 ) and I remember it very well. Cleaning the air ? Sounds very difficult.
Here you present a good view of the Lama temple, with the yellow roof and red texture of the walls, and of course many visitors.
I can't think of a better display.
Best - Izzet

Hi Chris,
Nice photo of the Yonghe Gong. I was also there one year ago. Interesting place, with this smoke, and praying people. I like visiting all the temples, find them interesting - churches, mosques, gopuras, pagodas. The problem of gray sky was everywhere in China,. Smog, or sand from Gobi desert? Only in Tibet was really blue sky.
