Photographer's Note

A welcome change to blue skies, after the dismal overcast conditions & rain of the fortnight before. The tourist crowds on the Great Wall of China, didn't bother me. This is China after all, the world's most populous country.

This is one of the best shots I have ever seen about the Great Wall. It is so clear and sharp that we do not get tired looking at. And the colours are also first class. Just looking at the white umbrella we can see how well you got the light under control. Very well done.

Hi Chris. Great Wall with a great POV. Excellent. Very nicely composed. Never seen earlier. The winding wall under the blue sky and the greens on the sides with walkers going up -- gives a good treat to the eyes. Thanks for sharing in TE. Regards.

Outstanding shot of the great wall. Your composition is great using the wall itself to lead the eye through the photo. The people with umbrellas add a lot to the shot. The lighting and colors are outstanding with an excellent sky! The photo is clear and sharp through out!

Superb perspective of this famous place, Chris. The blue sky sure contributes to make this image appealing, but that's not all. Love the textures, the colors, the way the wall does a kind of knot effect on top and even the people add a nice busy atmosphere. Great shot.

A very nice view from this so famous place. The point of view gives a nice perspective ans shows you a part of the way you have to walk ;) Umbrellas are already usefull to protect from the sun now after rainy days. Very beautiful view indeed with great saturated colours. Very well done !

An excellent opportunity to see how the Great Wall looks at Badaling we were taken to Sumotai ( Or something which sounds similar ) The wall takes us to the top of the hill and the inclusion of colorful pedestrians is just perfect - Friendly regards - Izzet

Brilliant polarised blue sky, superb sharpness & a crisp shot. Like how with the perspective & the stairs our eyes move up right upto the top. Graphism of the stairs is also wonderful. Excellent, and perhaps one of the best shots I’ve seen of the Great wall in this site!
