Hi Sarju,
A very interesting perspective in this iamge. I like the arty feel to the composition with the main focus on the jazz musicians....between the two glasses of ale. Warm tones...and obviously it was a warm, friendly get-together. Always great to hear that TE members are making the time to meet one another.Well done.
Cheers Grant

I'ms sure your meeting was a success Sarju. I like how you used the beer mugs to frame the musicians. Being Montreal such an artsy and sofisticated place why not show jazz right? Good light and colours. Your perspective of the place and moment is very good. Nice work and thanks :-)

Yes!!!!! Problably the photo I loved more from all I saw in your flikr gallery, Sarju. The framing of the jazz scene, bettween these two giant glasses is awesome. Love the interplay of the brownish color bettween the violin and the reflections on the glasses. Fantastic jazz mood in this dark environment. Perfect quality of the image on this 'night' capture, but the best of all is the originality of the composition.
Um grande abraço,

Hi Sarju,
I was hoping one of you guys posted a picture taking in this amzng place. The name is 'La maison du Jazz' and Charles told me that its a very traditional jazz bar in Montreal. I wish I was there with you guys, unfortunately I had to leave. The opicture is great and reflects very well the spirit of this great place. The band framed with beer! Ingenous my friend. Have a nice trip to US. I may really go to Ottawa this weekend for the day. The packing and arrangiments are almost ready, so we want to enjoy a little.
Cheers,
Flavia

Hello Sarju -
Well done - these types of images are very hard to capture. I was on a workshop in San Antonio several years back where we did the same thing. I was shooting film at the time and had little to no success. This is a bright and sharp image and the movement of the bass players adds to the dynamic of the image. I am not sure I like the beer mugs in the FG but they seem to work and focus attention at the right spot. Exposure, DOF, etc, etc is right where it should be. Well done, again.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Sarju
I was waiting for you to post this photo.I saw you work so much on it.
The composition is ideal, sandwiched between the two beer mug.Luckily,we both drank the same kind of beer.
The atmosphere at the jazz bar fits nicely with the fantastic day we had,the right way to end the day.
Considering the dark light of the place, your shot came out very clear. What ISO did you use.
And I am curious about what you do not want to say on the net?
Take care my friend
Charles

hi sarju,
i read any photographer should have a bar shot in his/her portofolio - this one of yours is quite pleasant to watch - well captured musical scenery between the two beer mugs - warm overall colors from my favorite kind of indoor lightning :) - well seen!
thanks,
