Photographer’s Note
The Year of the Monkey, Yuyuan Gardens, Shanghai. It may have been an overcast day, but there was still plenty of color about.
nb; taken with a 28mm wide angle, so there is going to be some perspective distortion. I tried a rotational correction for the post on the left, but the houses then looked like they were about to slide off to the right, so I reversed it.

Hi Chris,
Bright and colourful shot! Perhaps a little busy - its hard to distinguish the foreground and backgrounds - but i guess that sums up life in Shanghai. Great work on the scan by the way!

This is the sharpest rainbow I've ever seen :-). Very nice catch of that place, colorful and with a good POV and angle making one feel part of the scene. Good contrast, colours and DOF, as I like the way one can see what's going on around and appreciate buildings details too. Not disturbed about the distortion as this is clearly a WA shot. Very nice catch Chris, thanks for sharing.

Wonderful shot, Chris! Nice colorful shot with a nice reflection. Nice composition! The distortion looks ok here, I don't see it very much.

I agree with you about the colors. I am quite distracted because of so many to focus on. The lighting is quite harsh. It is something new and you presented it to us quite well.

Wow! Such a bright and colourful shot, full of festive atmosphere, Chris! :-) Lovely composition with very well managed details and textures, as well as light, despite the overcast day. Very well seen and captured!

A very colorful, rich and detailed scene, Chris. Such a lot of interesting detail to look at and explore in this wonderful shot that I wouldn't even have noticed about the overcast weather, had you not mentioned it in the note. Very good shooting angle, and the reflection is also fine.
I did a workshop for you regarding the perspective. It sure is straighter, but I'm not sure the image gets any better; the original distortion in your version is actually a quite interesting quality.

Great colours Chris; the fact that they are reflected is an added bonus. I'd like to see photos of the architecture in the background too, that looks pretty fascinating.

A great holyday also for my eyes: life is colour. Bgladman is wrong: it is very busy but doesn't matter in this case.

This is so beautiful and so colorful, Chris. Using wide angle lens enabled you to present a karge view. Very nice shot.

Hola Chris: A very beautiful image, enriched with beautiful colors and infinity of details that they make move to my eyes in different addresses to travel to the image and to appreciate all their details. Beauty in the colors and forms of the architecture. I like the reflection and the feeling of calm that to take place when stopping my visual journey and to rest my eyes in the rainbow and in the flowers of the pond. Gracias por compartir esta hermosa imagen con nosotros. Saludos Cordiales. *Ninfa Urania*
