Photographer’s Note

A sunset view from the upper part of the old village of Sori, looking down in the dark water of the Mediterranean sea.
It was a rainy day, with many clouds at sea level, humidity and wind.
Just one hour before the sunset the weather changed to give us a small beautiful sunset, with a long yellow line on the horizon and some "holes" in the clouds to see the blue sky.

Hi Paolo, still experimenting in colors, this one is nearly a "rohtko painting" (not sure of the orthograph of this famous painter), but with those lines and rectangular blocks of color this is inthe way ... I just love the PP work here, very well done ... for a terrific result

A well planned and effective shot, with the eye kept enthralled by the incredible texture and hues of the layers of cloud and light in the sky. The narrow strip of sea is effective here. An original shot. Well done...later.

Mesmerising!
Paolo of the sea and sky, this one just leaves me breathless. It is so very beautiful. What draws me here is that almost Rothkoesque paralell division of the frame, the exquisite dramatic colours, the sky that again reminds me of Nolde's seascape watercolours... ok, enough of all these references, without Nolde, without Rothko, or Turner, this is a superb shot Paolo!
